Who we are

Aara is made by Aara Labs LLC, a Georgia limited liability company based in Atlanta, GA. These terms cover the Aara mobile app and the aara.space website.

By using Aara you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Aara.

The service

Aara is a mobile app that pairs you with a fitness partner nearby, then helps the two of you plan a session and check in afterwards. Sessions are whatever you already do: runs, yoga, strength, climbs, and the rest.

The beta is free. Paid membership is optional, and the free product is complete on its own.

Who can use Aara

You must be 18 or older, and able to enter a binding agreement where you live.

One person, one account. Please do not use Aara if we have closed your account before.

Your account

Aara has no password. When you set up an account we email you a short code to confirm the address is yours, and we do the same when you come back. Keep that email address secure, because anyone who can read it can reach your account.

Give us accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your part

Treat the people you meet with care. Do not harass, intimidate or harm anyone. Do not post illegal, abusive or sexual content. Do not pretend to be someone you are not. Do not use Aara to advertise, recruit or sell.

Safety tools are built into the app and we act on reports. We can remove content, and we can close accounts.

Meeting in person

Aara helps you arrange to meet another person. We do not verify identities and we do not run background checks. Use the judgment you would use meeting anyone new: meet somewhere public the first time, tell someone where you are going, and stop if something feels wrong.

Meetings and sessions are entirely between you and the people you choose to meet. Meeting and exercising with another person carries real risk, including injury, and you accept that risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, Aara Labs LLC is not responsible for anything that happens at, or arising from, an in-person meeting, including anything another person does.

Health and your body

Aara does not give medical advice. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for a qualified professional.

Talk to a doctor before you start or change a fitness routine, particularly if you have a condition, an injury, or a concern. What you choose to do is your decision and your risk.

Membership and billing

Paid membership renews automatically until you cancel. The price, the billing period and the renewal date are shown before you pay, and we tell you before a price changes.

Payments are handled by Stripe and RevenueCat. Every payment page, including checkout and the membership portal, is hosted by our payment partners, so card details never reach our servers. If we later offer membership through an app store, that purchase is billed by the store and follows the store’s own process.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep everything you paid for until the end of the period you are in.

Refunds

Within 24 hours of a charge, ask through the support form and we return it, no questions asked. After 24 hours, payments are not refundable, apart from three exceptions: where the law requires a refund, where we have made a billing mistake, and where an app store’s own refund process applies. Our refund policy sets them out.

Cancelling is not a refund. It stops the next charge; it does not return a charge already made.

Your data

What we collect, why we ask, who else handles it, and what you can do about it are set out in our privacy policy. Please read it. It is short, and it covers both the app and the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

What belongs to whom

Aara’s name, look, text, software and design belong to Aara Labs LLC. Please do not copy, resell or build on them without our written permission.

What you write and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store it and to show it inside Aara so the product can work, for as long as you keep it there.

Other services

Aara relies on other companies to run: hosting, payments, email, maps and analytics among them. They are named in our privacy policy.

Aara may also link to services we do not run. We are not responsible for those, and their terms are their own.

Ending things

You can stop using Aara at any time, and you can delete your account in the app. Deleting is real: your profile, your plans and your messages go.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. We tell you when we do, unless the law stops us.

Limits on our liability

Aara is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we do not promise it will find you a partner.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Aara Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for injury, loss or damage arising from an in-person meeting, a session you arranged, or a person you met through Aara. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

If a claim comes from your use

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Aara, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the resulting costs and damages, as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms from time to time. When a change matters, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

The date at the top is the version you are reading. Continuing to use Aara after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts sitting in Georgia.
